STEP AWAY FROM THE JIGSAW..!

Our latest find in the 99p store:

 Irritatingly fiddly and frustratingly difficult.
(Bet you didn't know quite how many shades of brown there are in a Sphinx - I didn't)
But totally addictive.

So addictive that I haven't been able to do anything else today.

That is, if I can get a look in!
Oi!

(btw, I did the sky. Me. Mine. All mine).

Also this weekend ds2 and dd have made more marzipan mice
from the marzipan we bought on Friday.

And I picked up this book from the charity shop

Which, if you ignore the silly costumes bit,
(caused huge amusement among my children)
has plenty that will be useful for our ancient history.
For example, when we make our Egyptian models.

I love that jigsaw. Some of us enjoy jigsaws here too. We had a 1,000 piece one on the table for weeks but the cats kept knocking bits off lol The book was a bargain too.

Love the marzipan mice. I bought Madam a book on making sugar paste animals while I was playing truant yesterday, so now I know where to go for advice! (And if you can explain why someone would want to craft a fondant vulture for their cake I'd love to know. DH has suggested Santa and his reindeer face down in the snow, crashed sleigh and flock of vultures for next year's cake. I actually had the robin in mind...)
