This is what happens when...

...the pressure cooker explodes:


I'd like to say it was an interesting home education experiment



But the real skill came in trying to clean it up. First the Jack-vac:


And then the sky-high mop (yes, that is the kitchen ceiling):



And in case you hadn't guessed from the debris, it was potato and vegetable soup. Or it might have been if it hadn't detonated in my very small 1930s kitchen.

Goodness, that's some explosion. Knew there was a reason I didn't own a pressure cooker,lol. Good educational opportunity to talk about forces though ;o)

Pressure cookers are great, but recently ours on occasions hadn't released it's little steam safety valve and needed a prod. Guess who went upstairs and forgot...

Off to order new valve/seal spares.

ohhhh i bet that went with a bang!!! i don't envy your clean up... we had a similar thing this week with Bi carb and vinegar!!! I too had to wash the ceiling lol! Although i mentioned it in my blog, I sadly didn't take pics at the time lol
