Live Action! Polar Bears! (Doing what polar bears do best)

We've spent the day watching this livecam of polar bears at Sandiego zoo.

Correction. I've spent most of the day watching a ball floating on water (with the occasional duck visitor) and was given the job of calling the kids when anything interesting happened (which it didn't for about 8 hours).

But now, finally, the polar bears have spent 20 minutes devouring a large slab of dead-thing. A few minutes later and they are sleeping, on a rock.

If you think that sounds dull, you should have seen the waterbuffalo with a runny nose on Africam. Several hours of snot being dripped from giant nostrils beats watching Mr Orange on CSI Miami any day.

STOP PRESS! Polar Bear is eating carrots!

(If you want the next installment, you'll have to look at the webcam yourself).

Great links thanks! We just took a look as my 10 year old daughter is a big animal fan. She was a little perplexed as to why a polar bear should be eating carrots....

Yes, I couldn't figure that too. But who's going to argue with a polar bear if he says he wants carrots?

Ooh we get passing mooses round 'ere quite often... from the fridge to the spoon drawer.. to the washing-up bowl...still no spoon... to the medicine spoon cache.. to the gob...to the bin.... Whereupon I pull the empty moose pot out the bin for paint pot duty, (leaving the spoon in there obviously) and if no hardened baked beans crept into the pot in the interim I get to scrape my finger round the pot before I lovingly wash it out and leave it to dry before Mr RB comes along and throws it back in the bin. Should be a webcam in our house!! I hear you cry.... or did I just hear you cry?

Hah! We have finally seen the polar bears! We've just watched one playing with a pink ball - *so* what polar bears do in the wild... probably... if they could... or maybe the'd prefer a blue ball in the wild... lol.. thanks for the link.
