I'm still here

Yes I know it's been a month since I last posted, but I am still here.
Or should I say WE are still here.

I've had my head down on coursework, have been tackling a minor onslaught of deadlines and my head has been focused elsewhere. Our approach to home ed this past month or so has been entirely autonomous, but the kids have been up to all sorts of self-directed stuff and I have some photos/vids which I will post up just as soon as I can.

In true Arnie style 'I'LL BE BACK'

I do love that word AUTONOMOUS. Use it all the time. Of course in my case it means 'Get lost I'm busy' ...... I'm sure in your house it means all sorts of scientific discoveries etc (she says desperately back-tracking....!)

I'm convinced that some of my children's best discoveries/ educational moments have arisen out of the phrase 'get lost I'm busy'.

Currently we have huge array of ingenious and potentially injurious home-made weapons (including elastic band catapults, and crossbows that fire sharpened barbecue skewers) that could only have been made WITHOUT my supervision.

Hurray for autonomy!

haha! i love that way we now 'experiment with autonomy'; the words i use as i scuttle off to the tip. 'experimenting with autonomy' usually ends up with a hole in the lawn, soil all over the house, and someone up a tree. (i am sure there are skills in here somewhere to come to the fore in any future employment situation!)
